A comment was posted on a news story about an abortion protest (although I use the term "news story" loosely considering the source) and thought it was just so hilarious that I'd share it with you guys.
Here again, as with the article on the gun-grabbers, those who support God's viewpoint on life and therefore oppose abortion, express themselves by presenting truth and God's Word in a logical, reasonable manner.
And those who support abortion express themselves by means of fabrications, dissemblings, manipulations, denials, and insults piously recited in hysterical tones.
As Magnus quite rightly observes, liberals seem to have a gift for, if not hypocrisy, then certainly irony.
By the by, why would the Sovereign of the Universe, whose qualities are love, justice, wisdom, and power, allow this grotesque spectacle of millions butchered by abortion to continue indefinetly?
Doesn't Biblical evidence indicate that no evil continues indefinetly, as in His time the Creator acts decisively to bring it to a crushing, unexpected halt?

I actually had to read that twice because sometimes sarcasm can be too subtle. Don't worry, though: there's no sarcasm to be found here. Mr. Zecchino is totally serious. And this is why religion is funny and why arguing with religious extremists is such an exercise in futility:
If I believe in God and God tells me what's right and wrong, then you're just an asshole and I'll pray for you. Goodnight.
In the same thread, there was this charming comment:
MARK chapt10 ver 19:
"Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
Jesus said to him:
"Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone. You know the commandments:
★ You shall not murder;
★ You shall not commit adultery;
★ You shall not steal;
★ You shall not bear false witness;
★ You shall not defraud;
★ Honor your father and mother."
"You lack one thing;
★ go, sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven;
★ then come, follow me."
So tell me good honorable christian, the true leader and bearer of the Word of God, what happened to the rest of the 10 commandments, specifically about:
★ other gods, ★ idol worship and the ★ Sabbath?
I really like what torah101 has to say here, although I think it would've been good to stress the fact that the "other gods and idol worship" bit is actually the FIRST commandment. Which begs the question: what's the point of numbering them if we're just going to ignore it later? Ah, selective Christianity ... ain't it great?
Again, go back to the first point:
If I believe in God and God tells me what's right and wrong (even though He has a hard time getting it straight Himself), then you're just an asshole and I'll pray for you. Goodnight.
All I'm saying is this: people are so eager to base their lives on the inaccurate fallacies of Christianity and the Bible--and some go way beyond any semblance of reasonableness--that they actively forsake INTELLIGENCE simply to embrace a less-than-hypothetical concept such as religion.
