![]() GOOD NEWS: I'm going to start posting videos to the website. It will be a mixture of exclusive content and highlighted videos from the YouTube archives. (You know, since we've lost ALL functionality in playlists with the new channels!) BAD NEWS: My innaugural video was an epic 23 minute vlog that blip.tv didn't want to transcode and subsequently was unavailable for embedding. I'm trying to encode the video as a native flash video to see if that'll work ... if not, well, it just means we won't have epic length vlogs exclusive to the website. Maybe. More after the break! ![]() You might have noticed that I've been doing some minor work around the website. Both comics have their own dedicated blog, which ideally makes it easier for newcomers to catch up on what's happening in the respective stories. I've also tidied up the navigation bar up top by eliminating the Comic Archive link (still available here). Next to go will be the GURU pages, although I'm thinking about reposting the content to the blog and linking it in the sidebar. And speaking of the sidebar, this has probably been the most notable of changes: the list of external links has been adjusted to be blog-centric. Also, on a technical note, I've also fixed all the linkage to open in a separate window (or tab, as the case may be). Most importantly, however, are the additions of Zveshi and KatConfidential. If you're looking for some interesting reading on your lunch hour, definitely check these guys out. Zveshi is youtuber zed2six whom I've mentioned a few times in the past. His blog is explicitely lacking in personal details, but he has a creative writing style and oft-times tackles some interesting issues. KatConfidential's blog used to be a different name and then she changed it to her youtube name and now I've finally had time to read it a little. She referred to my blog links as a list of people I want to sleep with, so you should check her out for that reason alone. IN OTHER NEWS ... speaking of blogs, I'm tooling around with two new blog features that I think would be pretty fun. Both are news blogs, one for zombie news and the other for paranormal news. Think of it as bonus content to round out the Zaphod Zombie and Explorers of the Unknown experience. This will likely be something that I aggregate and prepare throughout the week and then publish over the weekend. Thoughts? |
