What's Next?

Some very interesting groundwork/infastructure has been established with the Talking Heads show.  (NOTE: keep an eye out for a minor re-ordering/re-labeling of the episodes to streamline the two shows into one.  You know, for consistency's sake.)

I've always felt that the type of show I've been dealing with here has been in the "Neo-Mono" style.  I've been working on this style for a while and it's encapsulated shows like Cecil, Cal Winters, and most of the Beanie Boy Show.  Talking Heads has indefinitely been a Neo-Mono show.

When I say that groundwork has been laid, I refer to the collaborative nature of the show and all the cast members.  And as we near the 23rd episode of Talking Heads (TH+THminis combined) I can't help but wonder ...

What's next?

It's Fun

First and foremost: if you've stumbled your way through the interwebs to this dismal and sad location in hopes to find an answer to why, after over a week of daily videos (sometimes inter-daily) did the posting suddenly stop at youtube.com/jordancg.

Well, it's no big deal.

See, I'm moving.  Again.  AND I finally got all the footage for the next Talking Heads episode.  AND I've recently ran two out of this world episodes of the mini show (the one with billy black and the one with jaime bryce).  I sent an email to Billy letting him know that Jaime's episode was absolutely burying his in views ... to which he immediately responded to and I've been watching as his episode keeps climbing higher.

See, in this battle of the egos, no matter who loses, *I* win.

Yay for me ;)

So that's what's keeping me busy.  Did I mention I'm moving?  Again?  And (this is TMI) I have diarrhea like a motherfucker.  Again.

A little tease for the two people who read this blog: I'm hoping to get Alex Mendoza on the show to complete this anti-youtube celebrity run I've had on Talkng Heads.

What do YOU want to watch?

I think I'll probably do a video about this soon--a vlog of sorts (oh how I hate those!  Fiendishly diabolical videos ...)  BUT--on the off chance that anybody of interest is reading--lemme pose a question to you guys.

First, as I'm working on laying the groundwork for Horbawrong Productions and this website, I'm thinking about the other shows I want to eventually do and old shows I want to revive.  I have many ideas about internet videos/shows, but I really want to know what you think.  What do you want to watch online and on your iPod (or iPhones)?  How do you view the relationship between interwebular content and the content that you watch on television?

Pointlessness

I have to admit, I'm a little lost right now.

With the postponement of TALKING HEADS 11 (I've posted the episode's cold open here) and subsequently doing all the work that I can possibly do on the episode without having all of the footage ... I find that I'm at a bit of a loss right now.

Usually, I'm so preoccupied throughout my weekend with the cutting of an episode that I don't get much of a chance to do anything.  Else.  At all.  Now that I have time ...

... okay, this is pointless.

I'm very slowly getting the website together.  Check out the navbar at the top of the page for the fun stuff.

I honestly have no idea why I'm doing this.  It's irrefutably a waste of time and money, but I suppose that I wouldn't be doing much else with those things, either way.

Hmph.

Goodnight.

When someone has far too much time on their hands, they spend it on youtube.  When they have far too much time on their hands, their spending said time on youtube, eventually they'll watch all of my videos.  When they have far too much time on their hands, spend it on youtube, watch all of my videos, their username is generally hartnell114.

This guy has been a pleasure.  As such, I invited him to partake in the chocolatey goodness that TALKING HEADS minis.  I wrote a script just for this fellow and sent it to him as soon as I finished it.  It took literally WEEKS for this guy to get his ass in gear, and when he finally did, I was thoroughly underwhelmed with the results.  Compounding the mediocre footage was the fact that it came literally right after the copycat Talking Heads show cropped up.  Specifically, the copycat show that JUST SO HAPPENED to co-star hartnell114.  In the end, it's no big deal (revenge is best when it's long and laborious and strikes at the singular moment when they least suspect it) but I still had an episode of THminis to put together ...

Well, I finally taped my end of the episode and cut the crap together.

And I was pleasantly surprised with the end result.

Seriously.

So much so that I bumped hartnell114's ep up the lineup and double-posted THmini episodes today.  Check it out and tell me what you think:

I have nothing to say.

Sorry.

Interestingly, TALKING HEADS (the Seinfeld of the internet) has gotten its first copy-cat show.  Peep it here.  But make sure you show the original some love, too.

Additionally, it should be noted that TALKING HEADS has an official spin-off as well.  It's called TALKING HEADS minis and you can't start watching it here.
